The Bourse de Commerce de Paris is a historical monument restored and transformed into a museum, the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection, which reopened its doors in May 2021 in the heart of the Halles district of Paris. This building was successively a wheat market from 1763 to 1873, then a stock exchange from 1889 to the end of the 20th century.
As a great art lover, François Pinault has acquired over the years more than 10,000 works of art, building a collection that is among the most valuable in the world. Paintings, sculptures, videos, photographs, sound works, installations…
In 2016, François Pinault and the Paris City Council announced the departure of the Chamber of Commerce and the presentation of part of the businessman’s contemporary art collections.
